Carved to look like a being
Attains its purpose of being prayed to.
So many prayers of hope,
Of health,of happiness and of wants are offered.
Extreme belief is all that is built,
Once in its presence.
How long the belief prevails?
When does it wear away?
For the deity has no eyes to see
And no fingers to feel your pain.
